On the morning of April 22, Earth Day, teachers of KL Da Ai Educare Centre took their students to Titiwangsa Lake Garden for an outing and to appreciate nature. That afternoon at their Centre, they learnt about vegetarianism and how to conserve and extend the lifespan of resources.
In September 2010, Liu Chun Yan, Principal of Keong Hoe Primary School, implemented "Jing-Si Aphorisms" in her school. She also changed the monotonous school bell ring tone to Jing-Si aphorism ring tone. Master Cheng Yen's wise words have since had a positive influence on the students and teachers.
Tzu Chi KL & Selangor's Collegiate Youth Team will stage a musical sign language performance of the "Sutra of Filial Piety" in October this year. Tzu Chi's Collegiate Youth members, seniors and volunteers visited universities and colleges from March 27-April 3, to invite interested students to attend the briefing on April 3.
Tzu Chi KL & Selangor's Collegiate Youth will be staging "The Sutra of Filial Piety" performance on October 13, 2013. On April 3, a total of 347 students from 19 universities and colleges attended the briefing held at the Twelfth Residential College (Raja Dr Nazrin Shah Residential College) of University of Malaya. It is hoped that more tertiary students will join as assistants or performers.
Tzu Chi Taiwan's Collegiate Youth Team has launched a project named, "Give Me 5 – Seize the Day and Save the Earth". On March 23, 2013, Earth Hour day, Tzu Chi Melaka's Collegiate Youth followed suit by holding a "5Rs Campaign" in front of A’Famosa, a famous tourist spot.
On March 11, 2013, 26 children from Kuala Lumpur Da Ai Educare Centre were brought by their teachers and volunteers to a nearby commercial area to learn how to interact with people through the promotion of "Jing-Si aphorisms".
On March 2-3, 2013, some 80 senior members of Tzu Chi Kuala Lumpur & Selangor's Collegiate Youth Association gathered at Tzu Chi Klang for a Camp to discuss about the Association's 2013 Development Plan.
