Third Relief Distribution for Kg. Numbak's Fire Victims

On April 6, 2013, Tzu Chi volunteers returned to Kg. Numbak and Dewan Masyarakat Menggatal to distribute cash to villagers affected by the March 27 fire. A total of 338 families received the monetary aid.

On March 27, 2013, some 250 houses of a seaside village in Kampung Numbak, Sepanggar, were destroyed in a fire, leaving more than 2,000 people homeless. On April 1 & 2, Tzu Chi Kota Kinabalu carried out relief distributions in two evacuation centres and at the fire site.

Despite suffering from a neuro-muscular disease, Hazman was a tough and happy boy. His mother, Hazlina, believes that Hazman has gone to a better place, nearer to God. His positive attitude will be remembered forever in the hearts of people who know him.

An early morning fire destroyed 15 stalls in a popular hawker centre in Kuala Pilah on February 17, 2013. Tzu Chi volunteers comforted the sad victims and encouraged them to cultivate blessings through donating small amounts of money.

The Lunar New Year Festival is a time for reunions. For this reason, Tzu Chi volunteers organized steamboat meals at the residence of lonely elderly, and at the home for the mentally-retarded and handicapped, hoping that they could feel the love from society.
