The long awaited 2012 Year-end Blessing Ceremony was finally staged as scheduled, with sign language replacing the traditional religious rites to disseminate the Dharma. Scenes of true life stories were portrayed beautifully by professional actors and actresses, with the sign language performed by almost 4,000 Tzu Chi volunteers. Some 14,000 audience members also joined in the "Water Repentance" Sutra adaptation. The Ceremony has truly brought out everyone's pure nature!
On January 13, Tzu Chi KL & Selangor will hold a 10,000 strong grand Year-end Blessing Ceremony. Rehearsals were held on January 5 & 6 at the venue, Stadium Malawati. This time, to save time and money, volunteers utilized a mobile stage for their rehearsals.
This year is the 20th Anniversary of Tzu Chi in Malaysia. On New Year's Day, and led by CEO Lim Geok Choe, Tzu Chi volunteers from Melaka, Seremban, Tampin, Muar, Kluang and Kota Tinggi Chapters vowed to work harder to inspire more to join the ranks of the Bodhisattvas.
After 2 months of intensive practice, some 600 Tzu Chi Klang's volunteers had their first grand sign language rehearsal at Wisma Teng Chin on December 30, 2012. It was simply astonishing to see the images of synchronized actions performed by the participants.
On December 21, 2012, a Da Ai Performance Night was held at Melaka Pay Fong Auditorium Hall. It was also a get-together for former staff of Up-Central. Yap Poh Long, a pioneer staff and volunteer of Tzu Chi, vowed to reconnect with Tzu Chi again.
Twelve chartered buses transported fans from Tampin and outskirts of Seremban to the Great Love Performance Night co-organized by Tzu Chi Seremban and Tampin. Everyone was excited to meet the true characters and artistes of Da Ai drama, "The Raindew Waltz".
