The 2016 Tzu Chi Youth Camp was held from October 7 to 9, at KL Tzu-Chi Jing Si Hall. The 3D2N Camp was attended by more than 100 tertiary undergraduates from KL and Selangor who learnt together for the betterment of life.

It was a special day for Tzu Chi Kota Kinabalu on September 10, 2016, as the Education Group had specially organized a fellowship-cum-charity event to celebrate the mid-autumn festival.

On September 9, 2016, Melaka Da Ai Kindergarten held an early mid-autumn festive celebration, inviting all parents to join in the occasion. Apart from the usual customs, such as, moon sighting, mooncake tasting and lantern procession, a sketch on the “Legend of Moon Goddess” was also staged besides some parent-child interaction games. It was a memorable night indeed for the 400 attendees.

It is a blessing to be able to watch our children grow. During the inaugural Sports Day organized by Tzu Chi Kepong Da Ai Kindergarten, parents and children improved their bonding while spending quality time together.

Since 2015 Tzu Chi Muar has been running various programmes to raise funds for the building of Muar Tzu-Chi Jing Si Hall. Despite their busy schedule, many entrepreneurs, have contributed generously. They wish to give back to the community and hope for an early completion of the project to enable more hearts to be purified.

Tzu Chi Melaka volunteers started making mooncakes from August 18 to 26. Volunteers took time off to lend a hand every day. Despite sweating under the hot weather and working by the hot stove, everyone helped out heartily, to raise fund for the construction of the Tzu Chi International School in Melaka.

Goh Siew Koon and Ng Chee Moi, are two sisters in their 50s, who are very much involved in charitable work. They will contribute as much as they can, and have donated their properties and land for education in order to benefit more children.

“Flower arrangement is the most beautiful thing in life,” said Soo Mei Lee. From ikebana, she learnt that kindness stems from harmony. Er Seng Seng said with a smile, “The whole process is very peaceful and I enjoy the calmness. My heart is coloured in green and everything appears beautiful in my eyes.”

Tzu Chi Melaka had organized the first large-scale vegetarian banquet to promote and raise fund for their International School agenda – a project of hope. The encouraging response from avid supporters and donors for the project has given additional inspiration to the team towards fulfilling this noble mission.
