This was the second year Melaka Da Ai Educare Centre had staged "Water Repentance" at its graduation ceremony. Although it was a big task, the teachers did not mind putting in the extra effort as they know it is an "invaluable gift" that will help the children throughout their lives.

On November 3, 2012, Tzu Chi's Collegiate Youth, Teenagers, Da Ai Mothers, Teachers' Association members and volunteers successfully presented a stage performance of "The Sutra of Filial Piety" at Melaka Jing-Si Hall.

Tzu Chi University Continuing Education Centre in Melaka held their first daytime short course from September 27-November 1, 2012. Comprised of 6 classes, it included lessons on tea ceremony, flower arrangement and living skills. The students are now looking forward to the next course.

On October 31, 2012, a team of Tzu Chi's Great Love Mothers organized an "Appreciation Ceremony" for the Standard Six students of Taman Connaught Chinese Primary School. The event deeply moved the students and their teachers.

"Most of our youth today have time to spare but they spend it on computer games. It would be meaningful for them to volunteer their time and reach out to others through Non-Government Organizations (NGO)", according to Organising Coordinator Karen Kuan.

On October 21, 2012, Tzu Chi KL & Selangor and UNHCR held a Joint Sports Day at Stadium Seri Permaisuri for 870 students, parents and teachers from 12 refugee schools. The children, who hardly get a chance for any outing, have all turned athletes, competing fiercely on the track with the spectators' blessing and applause.

On October 4, 2012, 20 students from Tzu Chi Melaka's Da Ai Educare Centre visited Happiness Centre for the mentally-disabled children. After the visit, 6-year old Li Mao Wen said, "Mom, thank you for giving me a healthy body."

On September 23, 2012, Li Mei Jin, Lv Mei Yun and Hong Miao Zhen of the Tzu Chi Teachers' Association of Taiwan shared their long years of teaching experience in humanitarian education with 720 participants at a Humanitarian Education Seminar held at the Kuen Cheng Independent Chinese School.

In their second "Cultural Camp", Melaka Tzu Ching (Tzu Chi Collegiate Youth Association) invited Muar volunteer, Qiu Ya Li, to share her story about her son, a Williams-Beuren Syndrome sufferer. Hopefully, after the 3-day-2-night Camp, participants could better understand the teachings in the Sutra of Filial Piety!

On September 9, 2012, Tzu Chi Bintulu organized its first Collegiate Youth Orientation to welcome both new and existing students of University Putra (Bintulu). The 9 students present gained tremendously from the orientation and vowed to dedicate their time to do charity.
